The historic naval fiction element of my blog has moved to http://www.historicnavalfiction.com/index.php/general/astrodenes-blog
I have started a video channel at you tube for my favourite videos about sailing ships
The author Alaric Bond has launched his new website www.alaricbond.com
When I decided to make the historic naval fiction section of my web into a seperate site it inherited the style of the main one which as general as it covered many subjects. I’ve spent the last couple of days re-styling it with a nautical theme which is now complete
The main forum link was down for a couple of days (no explanation from the host as to why) but the backup link was working. Trouble is not everyone knows the alternate link so I spent a few hours setting up a server status and link page on the web site in case the problem recurs
Just finished reading this excellent novel which deserves to be better known. It has a lot of well developed characters which gives good insight at all levels of the ships company and contains probably the best description of the Battle of Cape St. Vincent I’ve read in a fiction novel. It also seems to have a well developed back story for the characters as you get hints of their past on the ‘Proteus’ which leaves you wanting to know more. If you haven’t read it, I recommend it and I’m looking forward to the sequel.
The forum has been down for much of the night and now it has been restored by the host, forumotion.com, Sundays posts are missing. Luckily there were only 3 so I’ve reentered them but some of the other hosted forums have lost a lot of posts. They are not happy.
